Autonomous Trade Regimes
Check if your product benefit from an EU autonomous trade regime at My export
EU uses different types of autonomous trade regimes to grant preferences to different categories of countries:
- Autonomous Trade Measures (ATMs)
- the Generalized System of Preferences
- the Association of the Overseas Countries and Territories with the EU
These preferences are granted by the EU on a temporary basis, taking into account the specific situation of the different countries covered.
It may happen that a country benefits from two types of autonomous preferences (for example being a GSP country and an OCT) or from reduced or removed customs duties agreed in a Free Trade Agreement and from an autonomous preference at the same time.
